Title Description Sponsoring agency Amount
Genetic improvement of sweet potato and amaranth for Pro-vitamin A carotenoids through conventional The proposed project focuses the following fourSDGs as mentioned by UN. GOAL 1: No Poverty; GOAL 2: Zero Hunger and GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being and GOAL 13: Climate Action Common malnutrition and low income related malnutrition in AJK and Pakistan is prevailing due to insufficient supply of micronutrients in commonly consumed foods. Amaranth and Sweet potato offer an enriched supply of macro and micronutrients with other health benefits among very low income and rapidly growing population Higher Education Commission of Pakistan [HEC] under its National Research Program for Universities PKR 8178450/-
Biochemical and molecular analysis of high yielding sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) cultivars from Pa Four cultivars characterized for evaluation of variation at biochemical and molecular level along with their antioxidative and antibacterial activity. Orange cultivar showed more amounts of vitamin A, C, E, phosphorous, sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium.White cultivar showed minimum amounts of vitamin A, C, E, phosphorous, sodium, calcium and magnesium.Molecular comparison of four cultivars by SDS-PAGE provided desirable yet limited information on genetic variation of selected sweet potat Higher Education Commission of Pakistan [HEC] under its SRGP PKR. 394000/-
