The Faculty of Medical Health Sciences was established in 2012. Since its start, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences train students for the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Eastern Medicine and Surgery. The program of studies for the award of both of degrees have been so designed as to produce well disciplined, knowledgeable, motivated and hardworking graduates with emphasis on community orientation, especially in Azad Jammu & Kashmir so that they are able to compete with the best available human resource in the field. The mission of Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, The University of Poonch, is to play a pivotal role in the development and advancement of healthcare professionals by educating them with quality education and providing ample opportunities to learn and explore in order to meet the challenges related to healthcare needs of nation, state, and all over the world. Our vision is to be recognized globally for excellence in innovation, professionalism, education and health related research. We regularly arrange various hands on training workshops and technical lectures for our students, along with formal education in Pharmacy and Eastern Medicines. Due to quality teaching, focusing on the latest information, provided by our highly competent and motivated faculty; knowledge level of our graduates is much better than what is expected from a fresh graduate.

Medical & Health Sciences Journal

“Journal of Pharma and Biomedics” is a peer reviewed scientific, scholarly and international open-access journal. This journal publishes high-quality peer-reviewed research articles, review papers and short communications in English on quarterly basis reflecting the depth of inter-disciplinary research on Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences. Authors who publish in “Journal of Pharma and Biomedics” will be able make their work immediately, permanently, and freely accessible. The journal will request the Open Access Fee after peer review and the acceptance of the article. The Open Access Fee for “Journal of Pharma and Biomedics” will be PKR 15,000 for national authors while USD 100 for international authors (excluding taxes). The journal provides rapid publication after 30 days’ rapid review process, the manuscript number will be provided within 24-48 hours if submitted manually and the accepted articles will be placed under first look (Pre published) and then will be published in the coming issue.
