About Me
Dr. Shumaila Mumtaz received her PH.D degree from Government College University
Lahore. Her PH.D thesis title was “Antibacterial and anti-aging activity of silk proteins and
vitamin C against D-Galactose induced aging in mice” Her research is mainly in the field of
microbiology and Medical Toxicology, specifically the understanding of molecular
mechanisms of Human diseases by using animal models. She has published over 23 research
articles in top journals in this field. She worked for two years as a research associate at
department of zoology GCU Lahore, Pakistan.
