About Me

I am a veterinarian by profession with long standing field and teaching experience. I have over 30 years experience in veterinary profession as practitioner and faculty member. I started my career (Dec.1992) with Department of Animal Husbandry Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as Veterinary Officer and served in many development projects managed and funded by IFAD, FAO, EU and WFP. My standing in various aspects of rural development, livelihood, and education can be assessed from, a) establishment of growth points in AJK; IFAD funded project b) NRMP (northern resource management project) c) Support of emergency prevention and control of main trans-boundary animal diseases in Pakistan Participatory Disease Surveillance under project GCP/PAK/088-EC (FAO) d) Avian influenza in Pakistan e) Livelihood project of FAO funded by SIDA in restoring livelihood in earth quake affected area and f) Faculty member in Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (FVAS), University of Poonch, Rawalakot (UPR) g) Chairman Department of Veterinary Basic Sciences h) Director Student Financial Assistance &University Advancement UPR i) Director student Affairs UPR j) Project Coordinator/DDO “Acquisition of land and strengthening of the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences UPR” k) Chairman Quality Assurance Committee UPR and L) Controller of Examinations, University of Poonch Rawalakot. By virtue of my experience I am well versed in teaching, farmer organizations, parents teachers associations, CBOs and in computer related skills i.e. Microsoft office, Internet, email and conversant with data base programs etc.
