About Me

Dr. Adnan Ahmed Rafique is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Pooch Rawalakot, AJK. With a strong educational background and a passion for advancing the field of computer science, Dr. Adnan brings a wealth of expertise and experience to his role. Dr. Adnan received his Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Master of Science in Computer Science from AU, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2016. Dr. Adnan completed his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computing and AI, Air University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2023. Dr. Adnan served as Assistant Director, Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training from April 2010 to March 2012. He has also served as District Project Manager in Active Citizens Program under the umbrella of the Youth Parliament of Pakistan and the British Council from September 2008 to February 2010. Currently, he is serving as Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Pooch Rawalakot, AJK. Additionally, he is also serving as Research Associate at Intelligent Media Center, Air University Islamabad. Dr. Adnan has published a number of research articles in well-reputed international HEC-recognized “W” category journals, including IEEE Access, Multimedia Tools and Technology (Springer Nature), Remote Sensing, CMC, Symmetry, etc. He has also reviewed several research papers for top computer science journals such as Applied Sciences, Sustainability, Intelligent Automation and Soft Computing, The Imaging Science Journal, Control and Cybernetics, Journal of Interconnection Networks, and Computer Vision and Image Understanding. His research interests include but are not limited to Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Image Analysis, Image Segmentation and Scene recognition.
