Raees Ahmed received a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology (Molecular Bacteriology/Biological Control) from PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He is currently serving as Assistant Professor (TTS) of Bacteriology in Department of Plant Pathology, University of Poonch Rawalakot. His research includes the genomics of plant-associated microbes and their management using eco-friendly approaches. He has completed a research project on molecular characterization of pathogenic isolates associated with bacterial canker of peach and its bio-management. Dr. Raees is currently Academic Editor of Plos One and International Journal of Phytopathology. He is also Vice President (AJK) of Pakistan Phytopathological Society. He teaches multiple classes, including Molecular Plant Microbe Interactions, Bioinformatics in Plant Pathology, Plant Bacteriology, and Biological Control of Plant Pathogens, and has a wonderful team of graduate students and undergraduates in his research group.
