Dr Ansar Mehmood

Dr. Ansar Mehmood is working as Assistant Professor of Botany and Incharge, Department of Botany at University of Poonch Rawalakot, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He has 7 years’ experience of teaching and research in the context of nanobiotechnology, ethnopharmacology, ethnobotany and ecology. He did his Ph.D. degree in subject of Botany from University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffarabad in 2015. During study and job, he helped BS, M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. students of Botany in their research and write up on projects of multifarious nature. He has written a number of research articles which have been published in national and international impact factor journals. He has also attended various national and international conferences and workshops. His research group mainly focuses on the green synthesis of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles and their applications in biomedical, agriculture, and environment. The group also study the ethnomedicinal, biological, and nutritional analysis of wild plants of AJK.
