About Me
Iqra Nazar assumed the position of a visiting lecturer in the department of Islamic Studies at the University of Poonch Rawalakot on July 9, 2021. Her academic qualifications include the completion of an M.Phil. degree in the faculty of Islamic Studies (General) from the University of Poonch in September 2019. Over the past two years of her tenure in the faculty of Islamic Studies at UPR, she has demonstrated a strong inclination towards the fields of Tafseer Quran and the Comparative Study of World Religions. Moreover, she has also displayed a keen interest in the study of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and international human rights.
Iqra Nazar's research and teaching interests in Islamic Studies primarily revolve around the interpretation and analysis of the Quran, specifically Tafseer Quran. This involves a comprehensive examination of the linguistic, historical, and cultural contexts in order to uncover the deeper meanings and messages contained within the Quranic text. By engaging in Tafseer Quran, she aims to elucidate the religious and moral teachings conveyed in the Quran, contributing to a broader understanding of Islamic principles and beliefs.
In addition to her focus on Tafseer Quran, Iqra Nazar is also engrossed in the Comparative Study of World Religions.
