Dr Nausheen Irshad

Assistant Professor (Ph.D.)

Research Area: Wild life Management
About Me

I have completed my PhD degree in Wildlife management from PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi in 2015.While working towards my doctorate degree, I conducted research on an endangered and least studied species, Indian Pangolin (Manis crassicaudata) in Pakistan. The research findings were very enlightening, especially in terms of publications and research intent on the ecology, habitat destruction and massive illegal hunting of the unique mammal species. My current area of research includes comparative studies in "Human -Wildlife Conflicts" in my home town, where I found many wildlife species posing threats to human beings and their assets and in return, they are being brutally killed by human beings. Being wildlife biologist, I am passionate to explore wildlife populations/ habitats, developing plans to save endangered species, educating the public and publishing academic research.
