Dr. Nighat Younas is working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Poonch, Rawalakot, since March 2011. In this role, she planned, organized, and delivered Sociology courses in classroom and workshop settings to promote student success. She also collaborated with department chairs, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curricula. Additionally, she provided students with frequent, timely assessment and clear feedback regarding academic performance and have appropriately documented student progress and maintained records, including attendance, grading, and student learning outcomes. Dr .Nighat is also a member of the QES University team and has been serving as an Assistant Director of Students Affairs since October 2021. Additionally, she served as a member of the Affiliation Committee for Colleges for three years and as a member of the Faculty Disciplines Committee. Prior to my current role, she served as an Assistant Professor (IPFP) of Allied Subjects at the University of Azad Kashmir, Rawalakot Campus. In these roles, she designed, prepared, and delivered daily lessons, assessed, recorded, and reported student progress, and ensured high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching. She has supervised many Msc students in their research and dissertation. In addition to her teaching experience, she has also served as a Translator and Women Officer for the International Union of Food and Beverages, a Community Mobilizer for the Turkish Red Crescent Society, and a Project Incharge and Social Worker for the New Horizons Care Centre. In these roles, she provided various services such as community-based follow-up and after-care, family counselling, outreach visits, and data management, among others. Furthermore, she published 15+ journal papers on various topics such as women entrepreneurship, decision-making patterns, socialization patterns of orphans, and the stability of drug-addicted and depressive people for the development of society. She holds a PhD degree in political sociology from University of Karachi Pakistan.
