Engr Muhammad Ahsan Sadiq
M.Sc. Electrical Engineering
Research Area: Nanophotonics and Metamaterials, Electrical PowerAbout Me
I am basically an Electrical Engineer with a diverse professional background. With years of experience in the field, I have held various roles in different organizations, gaining invaluable knowledge and expertise. I began my career as an Assistant Engineer in Power Development Organization (AJ&K PDO), which is a hydal power generation company in the state of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. I later moved to AJ&K Electricity Department as Sub Divisional Officer, where I gained experience in electricity distribution. In 2010, I joined Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology Islamabad as a JE, worked in Time and Frequency Metrology Division.I joined this university in 2015 in the Department of Electrical Engineering. My technical skills and dedication to my work led to me being promoted to senior roles within this organization. Currently, I am a member of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology. I not only teach undergraduate students but also serve as the Director of the Industrial Liaison Officer (ILO). In this role, I work to bridge the gap between industry and academia, helping students gain practical knowledge and experience. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for my work. My dedication to the field of electrical engineering has made me an asset to any organization I have worked with, and I continue to make valuable contributions to the academia and industry.I am also a member of the various committies at the departmental/university level, DDO of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and member of the Senate of the University of Poonch Rawalakot.

Decentralized Virtual Impedance-based Circulating Current Suppression Control for Islanded Microgrids
Parallel connected inverters in islanded mode, are getting momentous attention due to their ability to increase the power distribution and reliability of a power system. When there are different ratings of Distributed Generation (DG) units, they will operate in parallel connection due to different output voltages, impedance mismatch, or different phase that can cause current to flow between DG units. The magnitude of this circulating current sometimes can be very large and damage the DG inverter

Seamless transition between islanded and grid connected three-phase VSI-based microgrids
Microgrids (MGs) are the emergent solution to overcome the current electricity demand. The MGs provide the facility to operate in both isolated and grid-connected modes. For both operating modes, Distributed Generation (DG) inverters are operating under grid forming or grid following control modes. During mode switching, the MG experiences enormous fluctuations, which occur due to the unidirectional islanding event. This paper presents a control strategy by using the modified power control schem

Power Sharing Control And Voltage Compensation Using Virtual Impedance Loop Control For Islanded Microgrid
Voltage source inverters (VSIs) now a days offering reliability and expandability for the integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) in microgrids (MGs). In case when failure of the main-grid happened, MGs have sufficient capability to provide necessary power to the local loads. Moreover, the presence of unbalanced loads connected to the MGs and line impedance value mismatch causes the voltage and frequency deviations. In addition to that line impedance mismatch also effects the accurate
